Guiding Our Church: The Church Board / Council

The Church Board (also known as the Church Council) is the primary administrative and decision-making body of SDA Church Kahawa Sukari. Comprising pastoral leadership and elected church officers, this body is entrusted with overseeing the spiritual and temporal affairs of the church, ensuring that all ministries and activities align with our mission and vision.

Our Role & Core Responsibilities

The Church Board functions under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the principles outlined in the Church Manual. Its key responsibilities include:

Spiritual Oversight: Ensuring the spiritual health and growth of the congregation.
Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies for church growth, evangelism, and community impact.
Financial Management: Overseeing the church's budget, financial policies, and stewardship.
Ministry Coordination: Approving and coordinating the plans and activities of various church ministries.
Policy Adherence: Ensuring that church operations adhere to denominational policies and local regulations.
Member Care: Addressing significant membership matters and promoting a supportive church environment.

Composition of the Board

The Church Board is composed of dedicated individuals who are elected or appointed to serve. It typically includes:
